Baltika Brewery

January 30, 2004

Baltika beer sampled by more than 9,000 visitors to the International Exhibition and Fair `Green Week - 2004' which just ended in Germany

During the 10 days that this fair was held in Berlin, around 3,500 liters of Baltika beer were consumed. All the Company's beer varieties enjoyed huge success with visitors and the supplies which Baltika imported to distribute on the stand were exhausted before the fair closed. Visitors to the Company exhibition space were invited to take part in a competition and the first 2,000 who drank a liter of beer each were given a Baltika beer mug as a gift.

Baltika presented at `Green Week' its entire assortment of bottled beer and beer in cans for the brands Baltika, Parnas, and Medovoe as well as two varieties on tap, Baltika Export No. 7 and Baltika Wheat Beer No. 8.

The International Exhibition and Fair `Green Week - 2004' took place in Germany from 16 through 25 January in the exhibition complex of Messe
Berlin. More than 1,500 exhibitors took part, coming from 44 countries around the world.

The contingent from Russia's agro-industrial complex took 4,500 ?2 of exhibition space and included more than 400 participants from 19 of the country's geographical regions. Baltika was the largest Russian participant at this unique international forum on food and agriculture.

This was the fourth time that Baltika participated in `Green Week' and each year the Company has increased its exhibition space and the assortment of products put on display. The Company's 108 ?2 stand within its exhibition area was built to resemble a beer hall with proprietary Baltika wooden furniture, a semicircular bar with taps for draft beer and the Company's branded refrigerator for its beer products.

Participation in the exhibition provides Baltika with an opportunity to acquaint foreign consumers and business partners with its products and also to promote the attractiveness of St Petersburg, one of Russia's main industrial and business centers, as a place for investment.

According to the survey of “The Most Respected Companies of the World” conducted by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Financial Times, Baltika Brewery has for the second year in a row ranked among the top five most respected companies in Russia. The findings were published at the Annual World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland) which took place from 21 to 25 January 2004.
