On April 30, 2004, the Board of Directors of Uralkali appointed Vladislav Baumgertner, formerly the commercial director of the enterprise, president of the company.
From mid-2003, Uralkali began to carry out transportation and marketing of its products all over the world independently, without resorting to the services of foreign partners. This allowed the company within a fairly short time to increase its presence on the traditional markets and develop new ones. As a result of the effective commercial activity the Uralkali brand won recognition on the world markets of mineral fertilizers. The company was able to prove to consumers that its products meet the highest quality requirements, have competitive prices and that the logistics system of the company is convenient for customers in any country.
Recognition of Uralkali's successes on the mineral fertilizers market is testified to by its growing prestige in the leading world and Russian industrial organizations, such as the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and the Russian Association of Mineral Fertilizer Producers (APU).
All these commercial successes which have already been achieved by Uralkali prove the feasibility of its unprecedented plans to increase production and sales almost by two times in the coming four years. Vladislav Baumgertner appointed by the Board of Directors as president of the company to ensure effective realization of these plans is a top manager who has been highly successful in directing the commercial activity of the enterprise. He will coordinate the interaction between all structures concerned with marketing and work with consumers: the Baltic Bulker Terminal, representative offices abroad, trader firms.
The main tasks of General Director of Uralkali Maxim Bakshinsky remain unchanged: modernizing the enterprise, increasing production and profitability, improving the quality of the products.
