Samara Distribution Grids pursue its repair program

A sweeping campaign is underway at Samara Distribution Grids (SDG), a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), for the forthcoming autumn and winter period.
Implementation of the repair program is one of key objectives aiming at failure-free operation of the electric grid complex. To date, SDG have completed more than a half of scheduled works and keeps up with the approved repair schedule.
The working crews have already repaired 38 transformer substations, 300.98 km of 35–110 kV power transmission lines and 524.647 km of power transmission lines within the distribution grids. The repair operations were completed at 35 kV Gavrilovka, Orekhovka, Vishnevka and Rubezhnoye substations. SDG repaired the main equipment (disconnectors, power transformers, short-circuiting switches, and current transformers) at 110 kV Bogatoye, Zavodskaya-1, Yuzhnaya and Bezymyanka-2 substations. 110 kV Buzulukskaya-1, Bolshaya Glushitsa-3, Mukhanovo-1,2 and Grazhdanskaya power transmission lines were equipped with bird guards. The working crews cleared 405 ha of rights-of-way (the planned vegetation management area is 990 ha). At the same time, as a part of the repair program Samara Distribution Grids prepare its electric facilities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. All scheduled repair works will be completed by the end of September.
The annual measures aimed at the repair and replacement of electrical equipment is a priority for Samara Distribution Grids. Implementation of the repair program in a proper and comprehensive manner enables to ensure emergency-free operation of the power facilities, reduce technical obsolescence of the equipment and provide reliable and high quality power supplies to consumers.
