Preparedness of IDGC of Volga, PJSC to operate during the autumn and winter season is confirmed

IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) obtained the certificate of preparedness to operate during the autumn and winter season 2017/2018. This is a conclusion of the Commission that inspected the Company.

 Participants of the Commission included representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, the Ministry of Industry and Energy for the Saratov region, Rosseti, PJSC, Technical Inspectorate of UES, JSC, ODU (Unified Dispatch Office) of the Middle Volga, a branch of SO UES, JSC.

Before the start of the autumn and winter season, IDGC of Volga, PJSC prepared a total of 1,418 de-icing schemes for overhead transmission lines (6 kV and above), i.e. 24 schemes more than in the previous year.

Trial de-icing operations were conducted in strict compliance with the plan. The repair program-2017 has been completed in full and on time. The emergency inventory stock of materials and equipment is 100% ready. To quickly restore power supply for socially-significant facilities, the Company prepared 111 backup power supply units (30 kV and over), with the total capacity of 10.3 MW.

Branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC formed 886 repair teams comprised of 4,730 people and 1,687 units of motor vehicles and special-purpose machinery. 506 people and 213 units of machinery are grouped into 62 mobile resolver teams. Members of repair teams are equipped with any necessary mechanisms, tools, appliances, lifting tackles, means of protection and communication. T

o train employees in how to properly act under severe weather conditions, 148 trainings in operations during the autumn and winter season and 293 emergency response trainings in using temporary limit schemes were conducted.

To perform emergency and recovery operations, the branch organized interaction with EMERCOM units, governmental authorities and contractors and concluded the relevant agreements.

Vladimir Ryabikin, General Director of the Company, received the Certificate of Preparedness that confirms timely and complete implementation of activities aimed to improve reliability of power supply for consumers during the autumn and winter season 2017/2018 when electric networks operate under peak load conditions.
