Rosseti signed the Memo with Erdenes Mongol, the major state-owned company in Mongolia, on the sidelines of the official visit by Russian President Vladimir V. Putin to Mongolia

Mr. Pavel Livinskiy, Rosseti's CEO, and Mr. Gankhuu Purevjav, Erdenes Mongol CEO, took part in  work of the delegations as part of the bilateral meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of Mongolia, which was held in Ulan Bator today.

The negotiations resulted in signing of the three-year Memorandum on long-term mutually advantageous cooperation in research and development of integration links of the North Eastern Asia's power grids, including the necessary priority efforts to enhance and improve reliability of the power system and to develop the power grid infrastructure in the Mongolian mining industry.

The assessment of the current status of the Mongolian power system, development of the arrangements and the development program for the Mongolian power grid, for introduction of the advanced digital technologies to the power grid system, designing and construction of the power grids, technological connection of new strategic fields and other industrial facilities are among other cooperation areas indicated in the document.

The Parties agreed to establish a joint working group to draft the common roadmap for regional integration of the North Easteran Asia's power grids, taking into account the Mongolian upgraded power grid, to conduct joint research and draft the feasibility study for construction of new intergovernmental power grids. Based on the studies of the promising cooperation projects, the companies are going to consider creation of a joint venture.
