On the Teacher’s Day the award ceremony of the winners of “I draw Moscow” children's drawing contest organized by Moscow City Telephone Network with the support of the Department of education of the Government of Moscow was held

The holiday of schoolchildren creativity "I draw Moscow" was timed for the beginning of the school year and passed at the city schools on September 1-5. Third grade schoolchildren participated in the contest.

MGTS jury selected 6 best drawings among the finalists. They will now make the "face" of a new series of payphone cards. The award ceremony will be held on the Teacher's Day on October 3, at 3 p.m. in the Child's World pavilion of Mega Family Shopping center located at: Moscow region, Leninsky district, intersection of Kaluga highway and Moscow Ring Highway. Child's World stores provided the premises for the ceremony as well as prizes and gifts for the children.

The ceremony will include:

  • An entertainment program for children and guests;
  • The solemn award ceremony;
  • The presentation of a new series of "I draw Moscow" payphone cards.

Parents, teachers, the Head of Education and Additional Development Board of the Department of Education of Moscow Lyubov Melnikova, MGTS Deputy General Director Alexandr Konovalov, the Head of MGTS PR Department Anatoly Vereschagin and other officials will come to congratulate the children.

PJSC Moscow City Telephone Network is one of the biggest not only in Russia, but among the local wire telecommunications companies in Europe too. The MGTS personnel of 20 000 persons supply services to about 4.2 million subscribers. The dynamic development of the Company is noted for its stable economic situation, prescheduled on-going income growth rate, and for the amount of provided services on the upgrade. Child's World Group (Detskiy Mir) is the largest retail operator on the Russian market of commodities for children. In 2002 the company celebrated its 45th anniversary. In 1996 AFK Sistema became the majority shareholder of Child's World (over 70 % ownership), 19 % of Child's World shares belong to the Government of Moscow. The Group's major assets comprise Europe's largest department store for children, the Child's World at Lubyanka street (total surface = 54.5 thousand sq.m.) is daily visited by up to 60 thousand shoppers as well as the Toy House in Bolshaya Yakimanka street, a store in Vernadsky Prospekt, a warehouse complex in Karacharovo, and regional shopping centers in Orel and Tambov. In 2003 the Group sales totaled $ 68 million. The Group is currently expanding its presence in both Moscow and the regional market to develop a national retail trade chain. It plans to locate shopping and leisure centers in large cities with the population of at least 500 000, a total of more than 150 stores will open by Y 2007, including 30 in Moscow. Within the framework of this program, in 2003 shopping centers of the new format were opened at MEGA Mall and 12 Months shopping center in Golyanovo as well as in Alexander Land Mall on February 19, 2004 in Moscow. In 2004 Child's World Group continues to expand its presence in the Russian market. For instance, at the end of March another Child's World store opened its doors at BOOM Mall in Maryino. On September 4, 2004 a new Child's World store will open in St. Petersburg.
