The Gazprom Headquarters yesterday hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Pyotr Stepanov, Industry Minister of the Transdnestr Moldovan Republic.

The parties discussed issues with regard to dividing the contract for the supply of Russian gas to Moldova and the Transdnestr region, Gazprom’s obtaining the Transdnestr’s stake in Moldovagaz, restructuring the debt for previous gas deliveries and developing the gas transmission and distribution system in the Transdnestr Moldovan Republic.

Gazprom owns a 50 per cent stake in Moldovagaz. The remaining shares are split between the Government of the Republic of Moldova (35.3 per cent), the Cabinet of Ministers of the Transdnestr region and minority shareholders (1.23 per cent).
