The Uralkali Company plans to allocate over ten million roubles to support its veterans in 2004

The Uralkali Company has made it a tradition to financially support the Councel of Veterans of the Company. The 2004 plan allocates over 10.3 million roubles for the veteran organization - that is almost a million more than in 2003. The money will be used to improve veterans' health at the Uralkali's recreation and health care center, procurement of costly medicines, doctor's consultations, housing renovation.

A separate line in the spending section of the Company's books is organization of cultural and recreation events for the veterans. The Uralkali plans to conduct gala functions and performances as part of holidays celebrations, the Company covers expenses related to tours of historical places of the Kama visinity. The Company veterans have their own community center -the only one in Berezniki. This center hosts holidays celebrations, folk craftsmanship exhibitions. It houses interest clubs and amateur performers groups. A physical fitness group and a chorus have recently been established there.

WW II participants and those who had worked in the rear during the war received gifts and financial aid from the Company, which allocated 410000 roubles for the purpose. Prior to the Victory Day celebration 240 veterans had a chance to rest and improve their health free of charge at the Company's recreation center.

On the eve of May 9 Maxim Bakshinsky - General Manager of the Company met with the WW II participants and War time workers at the Uralkali recreation center. He congratulated veterans on the occasion and told them that the Company will publish a book on veterans of the potassium production facility for the coming 60th anniversary of the Great Victory.

"You struggled thgrough the hardships of the War, you gave all your energy to work creating the foundation for the Uralkali development, said Maxim Bakshinsky. That is why our care for potassium production veterans is among top priority tasks of the Company. We shall do everything in our power to make our veterans feel maximally protected."
