Krasnodar, 4^th December 2006: Southern Telecommunications Company (“UTK”) [(RTS: KUBN, KUBNP; ?ICEX: UTEL, UTELP; ADR OTC: STJSY, KUE FRA)], the principal telecommunications provider for Russia’s Southern Federal District, reports that on 30^th November 2006 its Board of Directors terminated the powers of Lyudmila Ivanovna Devyatkina and Yevgeny Nikolaevich Poyarkov as the members of UTK’s Management Board  before the appointed time and changed the numerical composition of UTK’s Management Board from 9 to 7 members (Minutes ? 18 of 3 December 2006).
