Moscow, 9 March 2004. Pursuant to the Order, in order to ensure reliable power for households, socially important facilities and enterprises before the end of the Presidential election campaign (between 9 March and 15 March), energy companies' officers will put on round-the-clock duty and special measures will be taken to control the operation of the energy equipment. In case of adverse weather, emergency repair crews will be available at RAO UES power plants and other electric and heating networks. Besides, measures have been taken to strengthen security at energy facilities.

Such arrangements are routinely made at RAO UES enterprises during the periods of important nation-wide events taking place in the Russian Federation and on national holidays.
