Uralkali allocated 1,335 thousand rubles for New Year events for its personnel and about 500 thousand rubles for the Berezniki population

About two thousand children will attend ten gala performances to be given by the actors of the Ekaterinburg operetta theater for the children of Uralkali workers at Uralkali's Palace of Culture during the New Year celebration. Over seven thousand children aged from one to 14 years have received gifts - assorted candies - for the New Year. Uralkali has allocated about 750 thousand rubles for these purposes.

150 children of Uralkali workers are now resting at a children's health-improving camp organized in Uralkali's sanatorium. The company has also bought 36 vouchers for a children's camp in the health resort Ust-Kachka. In addition to this, Uralkali has signed contracts with the Berezniki travel and tour agency and allocated 250 thousand rubles for organization of tourist trips for children. During the New Year vacation 90 schoolchildren will visit Perm and 30 children will go to Ekaterinburg. For the first time this year the children of Uralkali workers will go for a trip around the Golden Ring of Russia, which will take them to Moscow, Vladimir, Suzdal, Gus-Khrustalny and Sergiev Posad.

For the company workers Uralkali's Palace of Culture has prepared New Year shows, which began on December 15 with the performance of the operetta "The Bat," and holds traditional "ogonki" ("lights") - New Year concert-parties.

Uralkali has allocated about 500 thousand rubles for gala events in Berezniki. For the first time a snow city opened on the New Year's eve on the "Agrokhim" stadium. It was built by the Uralkali Mine Construction Department using 250 thousand rubles allocated by the company for this purpose. The initiator of the construction was Alexei Chibisov, Uralkali Director for Economics and Finances. Although the snow city is located in the second constituency children from all over Berezniki came to its ice hills on the opening day and the guests of the snow city were welcomed by Ded Moroz ("Grandfather Frost") and Snegurochka ("Snow girl") who conducted entertaining competitions with presentation of sweet prizes.

A few days earlier another snow city with a large Christmas tree arose in Berezniki on the square in front of Uralkali's Palace of Culture. This snow city was also built by the Mine Construction Department and the company allocated 120 thousand rubles for its construction. In addition to this Christmas trees were set up at Uralkali's expense in two microdistricts located within the constituencies of City Duma Deputy Larisa Paskhalova and Deputy of the Regional Legislative Assembly Sergei Dyakov, Technical Director of Uralkali.

The company has allocated 50 thousand rubles to the Berezniki Department of Culture for decoration of the central square of the city where gala events were to be held on the New Year's Eve.

Aiding children is one of the priority lines of Uralkali's charity activities. Thus, during the New Year vacation, the company presented vouchers for the Hilton children's camp in Perm to three best students of Berezniki School No. 9 where special emphasis is made on the study of the English language. These children have repeatedly received prizes at the city, regional and All-Russia foreign language Olympiads.

Uralkali has donated funds to the children's theater "Neznaika" for the purchase of stage consumes. The actors of the theater, on their part, will stage a new play for the children, specially for the New Year vacation.

A New Year celebration was organized by Uralkali for orphans. "I am with you for ever" was the name of the concert organized by the company for children left without parental care. The concert given by the amateur groups of Uralkali's Palace of Culture was attended by about three hundred children from Berezniki Orphanage No. 2, the boarding school, the correction school for orphans, the Rostok rehabilitation center.
