OAO Mosenergo’s Ecological Management System is the first such system in the Russian power industry to be certified under the ISO 14001:2004 international quality standard. Certification was obtained within the framework of OAO Mosenergo’s Program of ecological policy implementation for 2006-2008, approved by the Company’s Board of Directors on May 23, 2006.

The certification process included an analysis of internal regulatory documents, the company’s policy, and management decisions on requirements of the standard.

On the basis of the audit, it was concluded that OAO Mosenergo’s Ecological Management System conformed to the ISO 14001:2004 international standard.

The audit was conducted by the certification body Bureau Veritas Certification, which was the winner in an open tender.
