Samara DG, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC was ranked first by the RF Ministry of energy in terms of reducing line losses

Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) was ranked number one in the summary index of line loss reduction. This was reported in the rating of electrical grid companies prepared by the RF Ministry of Energy by the level of energy efficiency and disclosed at the Russian Energy Week Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum.

This rating is the result of significant joint efforts of the Ministry employees, experts, and representatives of the power grid complex. This rating enables to evaluate the reduction of line losses, implementation of energy efficiency technologies, and adoption of the national energy efficiency policy. Besides, by pooling the power grid entities into groups at the level of each indicator, it became possible to compare companies by individual characteristics. The summary index of line loss reduction is used as the baseline rating indicator. In the rating presented during the Forum, Samara branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC ranks first, sharing the top rank position with EESK, JSC (IDGC of Urals, JSC).

Power sector specialists of Samara Distribution Grids continue their rigorous efforts to reduce transmission losses by conducting large-scale campaigns for repair and reconstruction of distribution networks, implementing the intelligent metering system and identifying theft of electricity through off-the-meter consumption.
