RBC launches new rbc.ru website design

Moscow, February 14 , 2008 - OAO RBC Information Systems (MICEX, RTS: RBCI) is launching a new design for its www.rbc.ru website. The revamped website offers its readers improved navigation of its news pages and a more informative home page. These changes are expected to make it easier for visitors to find the information they are looking for.

The new layout of the www.rbc.ru website will be divided into several news sections: Top Stories, Economy, Breaking News, Politics, Society and Sports. Depending on the news pattern of the day, the RBC news office will be able to rotate the news sections.

Possessing the greatest volume of financial and economic information in the CIS, RBC is consistently increasing the number of news stories available for free. The website update is no exception to the rule, as the number of news items is expected to increase by 20%-30%. Readers will also gain access to the services offered by RSS channels, which will allow them to receive information in the form that is most convenient for them. The number of video reports will also rise considerably.

"The www.rbc.ru website has changed dramatically from what it was five years ago in terms of the number of its news services and the level of its content," General Director of RBC Media Artyom Inutin said. "All of this is forcing us to make further adjustments to the design of our website and to modernize it in order to enable readers to receive the news products they really need from the entire lineup of RBC's media services promptly and in full. Being a media leader on the Russian Internet, RBC will continue to provide its readers a maximum of quality information, both free of charge and fee-based, as it has done in the past."

It is expected that RBC TV will also be featured as one of the units of the upgraded website layout in the future to allow www.rbc.ru readers to get the full picture of the economic and political situation in Russia. "By virtually combining the two websites, rbctv.ru and www.rbc.ru, we hope to produce a synergy effect by further consolidating the audiences of the television channel and the website. Going forward, we intend to enhance the integration and create a high-technology news service on the www.rbc.ru site," Artyom Inutin, General Director of RBC Media, added.
