Comments on NAK Naftogas Ukrainy statements on Russian gas take off from transiting deliveries for their own technological needs

 “Naftogas Ukrainy have to understand that by such statements and actions the Ukrainian party once again creates crisis situation with transit of Russian gas to the European consumers. As was stressed once and again, providing gas for technological needs is the sole responsibility of transiting party pursuant to the existing contract. If Naftogas Ukrainy is not able to secure own needs in technological gas from its own resources, they have to purchase it and not take it off from transiting deliveries. They may buy gas from Gazprom, as well as from importers of Russian gas transiting through the Ukrainian territory. The technological gas may be obtained from any international gas supplier. Using swap operations we are ready to provide volumes in question to Naftogas at the Russian-Ukrainian border,” stated the Gazprom official spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov.
