The open joint-stock company GAZ (OJSC GAZ) increased production of Volga cars by 36,8% and trucks by 21,3% in March 2004.

21,259 vehicles and auto kits rolled off the OJSC GAZ production line in March, 4,352 (25,7%) units more compared with March 2003.
The total number of the vehicles assembled amounted to 19,537, with 6,173 being cars, 13,364 trucks of which 2,331 were minibuses. Compared with the same period of the previous year, the company increased its production of GAZ vehicles by 3,277 (20,2%), the number of cars produced increased by 1,659 (36,8%). GAZ supplied 800 auto kits to assembly plants, 153 (23,6%) units more compared with March of the previous year. Besides, 922 auto kits were sent to the OJSC GAZ' small batch production division.
GAZ made 205,011,000 rubles worth of spare parts. It made up a 27,5% growth.
The automobile factory fulfilled all items of its production plan in March 2004.
