Moscow, 11 March 2004. Today, the Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais and the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Kray Aleksandr Khloponin held a meeting in Moscow to discuss the cooperation in completing the construction of Sosnovoborskaya CHPP and Boguchanskaya HPP in Krasnoyarsk Kray, and the prospects of launching a competitive segment of the wholesale electricity market (5-15) in Siberia.

The parties noted the need to complete the construction project at Boguchanskaya HPP, which is of paramount importance for the whole of Siberia, and considered the scenario that the private investors taking part in the project completion will be able to increase their interest in the authorized capital of the power plant in proportion to their investments.

The parties also agreed to cooperate in the completion of construction of Sosnovoborskaya CHPP owned by OAO "Krasnoyarskenergo", which is to replace the nuclear reactor ADE-2 in Zheleznogorsk scheduled for decommissioning.
