Khanty-Mansiysk – To select the winner of an open tender on supplies of five turbo-prop regional aircraft UTair (U?air Aviation, JSC) will attract external consultants for thorough evaluation of financial and economic parameters and legal evaluation. This decision was made by the tender commission at its meeting on February 28.
“The conducted tender is the first serious experience of working with foreign suppliers, that is why we need assistance of the world’s leading consultants,” UTair General Director Andrey Martirosov pointed out.
Consultants are expected to be chosen next week.
Participants of the meeting considered feasibility studies submitted by bidders.
Moreover, members of the commission discussed the analysis of financial, economic and legal aspects of proposals.
The date of the next meeting of the commission will be agreed to with attracted consultants.
As reported earlier, UTair announced an open tender on supplies (leasing) of five regional aircraft with about 35 to 60 passenger seats each on October 25, 2003.
Among participants of the tender are the Canadian company Bombardier (DASH-8), French-based ATR (ATR-42), the Irish leasing company Magellan Air (ATR-42), the Kharkov state aviation and production enterprise (An-140) and the joint venture International Aviation Project - 140.
