MMC Norilsk Nickel announces that it has completed the acquisition of an equity stake of approximately 20% in Gold Fields Ltd from Anglo American plc for an aggregate amount of approximately Rand 7.6 billion.

Citigroup Global Markets Limited underwrote and arranged for MMC Norilsk Nickel the six months senior unsecured financing amounting to US$800 million at LIBOR plus 1.5%.
