The 11th International Specialized Exhibition for Communication and Telecommunication Systems “Norwecom-2004” was opened February 24, 2004, JSC “North-West Telecom” traditionally being one of its major exhibitors and organizers.

The solemn opening ceremony of the Norwecom-2004 exhibition was attended by:

Alexander Kiselev - First Deputy Minister for Communications and Informatization of Russia Federation,

Valery Yashin - General Director of JSC “Svyazinvest”, Chairman of the “North-West Telecom” JSC Board of Directors,

Sergey Kuznetsov - General Director of “North-West Telecom” JSC.

The North-West Telecom exposition located in the gala 4th pavilion is the largest at Norwecom-2004 shows the guests and participants of the exhibition the latest achievements of the Company.

The basic idea of the exposition is to show a wide range of up-to-date communications services oriented to different market segments. The North-West Telecom display is clearly divided into two sectors: for corporate clients and private users.

At Norwecom-2004 the North-West Telecom calls the attention of corporate clients to virtual telephone exchange CENTREX and services on construction the corporate networks based on the North-West Telecom multi-service communications network,

The visitors may also see the wide range of North-West Telecom services for private clients: Internet on credit, ISDN, telephone service cards.

One of the Norwecom-2004 novelties was the teleportation performances, organized by the North-West Telecom, i.e. the projection of a 3D image of a remote item with the possibility of real-time contacts.
