PJSC "UTK" 2003 preliminary results

According to 2003 preliminary results "UTK" PJSC revenues from value-added services reached RUR 539,9 mln, a 76,7% -increase over a year-ago period. Share of value-added services in 2003 tariff revenues made up 4,1%. Structure of VAS revenues are the following:

  • Internet services - 60,9%,
  • VPN services - 16,7%,
  • ISDN services - 9,9%,
  • IP-telephony - 6,1%,
  • Cable TV - 2,0%,
  • other - 4,4%.

According to 2003 performance results five UTK subsidiaries generate 87,8% of revenues from rendering value-added services (VAS): Center of New Technologies (25,2%), "Rostovelectrosvyaz" (22,5%), "Kubanelectrosvyaz" (15,9%), "Electrosvyaz" of Stavropol Territory" (14,4%), "Volgogradelectrosvyaz" (9,8%), other subsidiaries (12,2%).

In addition Center of New Technologies, "Rostovelectrosvyaz" and "Electrosvyaz" of Stavropol Territory" generate 70,7% of revenues from providing access to Internet and 93,8% of revenues from VPN services. "Kubanelectrosvyaz" renders 60,2% of total volume of IP-telephony services. ISDN services are being provided mainly by "Kubanelectrosvyaz" (51,8%) and "Volgogradelectrosvyaz" (27,1%). "Svyazinform" of the Astrakhan Region" and Sevosetinelectrosvyaz generate 41,1% and 47,4% of total revenues from intelligent services, accordingly. "Volgogradelectrosvyaz" is the only branch that provides services of cable TV.

The Company is better presented in the value-added services market in the regions of the Southern federal district which have many alternative operators

In 2004 "UTK" PJSC expects to gain revenue of RUR 0,87 billion from VAS which will make 5,2% of total tariff revenues. The Company plans to continue development of digital cable TV, IP-telephony, xDSL-based high-speed access, intelligent services, Call centers, high-speed zonal data networks and multi-service networks.
