OJSC “Surgutneftegas” is developing and improving IT solutions which provide a basis for production management control, operational control over oil and gas production, transportation and treatment, efficient subsoil use solutions and operating well stock management.

In 2003, 42 telecontrol systems at the Company’s oil fields measured as much as 99.4% of the operating well stock production and controlled 98.6% of mechanized well stock. Telecontrol systems, “OKO-neftepromysel”, operation monitoring systems “OKO-DNS” and “OKO-TsITS” developed by Production Division “SurgutASUneft” of OJSC “Surgutneftegas” are widely used.

In 2003, we put into operation 25 “OKO-DNS” monitoring systems for booster and cluster pump stations based on controllers and PC, which allowed us to receive much more data on facilities performance. These systems are currently installed at 58 booster and cluster pump stations of the Company.

In 2003, we implemented the “OKO-TsITS” system with all of our oil and gas production divisions. OKO collects and displays the data, received from the on-line monitoring systems of the Company’s oil and gas production units. Making use of the corporate datacom network, it also allows to transmit information on technological objects in real time to any of the Company’s authorised users.

The in-house-developed “Oilfield Portal “Alpha” was successfully launched with all of the Company’s oil and gas production divisions. This software is used to store technological, geological, geophysical and oilfield production data

In the context of its universal information space, the Company places “Alpha” in between the telecontrol systems and automatic process control system on the one hand and SAP R/3’s ERP on the other.

In 2003, the Company’s experts hit the target and completed the projects of migration of assets and intangibles accounting into R/3, as well as human resources and capital construction accounting. OJSC “Surgutneftegas” operates and expands its systems for tax accounting, principal products control and materials management.

This year we are planning to implement a number of analytic systems, as well as planning, budgeting and management support systems.

The Company took several engineering and organizational steps to secure the corporate data. As part of this program, OJSC “Surgutneftegas” made a central directory of users of its IT-systems.

We developed a unified model of oil products marketing and accounting system, which was implemented at one of the Company’s subsidiaries – Novgorodnefteprodukt, Ltd. In 2004-2005, we are planning to implement this unified system with all of the Company’s marketing subsidiaries.
