On February 3, Gazprom successfully placed the A3 RUR 10 billion bonds, with a RUR 1000 face value and a 3-year maturity. A 4% coupon yield is payable in arrears semi-annually.

The bond floatation price was determined on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) at 100.69% of the face value, which is 8% of effective annual yield. Investors submitted 326 applications worth RUR 15.88 billion. The MICEX trading session ended with 207 applications accepted, 4 times up on Gazprom’s A2 bonds floatation in 2002. Thus, the Company managed to substantially diversify its investors’ pool.

The Renaissance Capital Investment Group, Industrial and Construction Bank (St. Petersburg) and the Horizon Investment Company were the loan co-arrangers. The Federal Fund Corporation was a financial adviser for the transaction.

By placing the bond loan, Gazprom has opened new horizons for all the Russian issuers,” – said Boris Yurlov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee.
