Gross electricity output by power plants of JSC TGC-1 in Saint Petersburg, Republic of Karelia, Leningrad Oblast and Murmansk Oblast (including Murmanskaya CHPP) for 9 months of the year 2011 equaled 20,718.5 million kW/h. This is 5% higher than the identical value for the period from January till September of the last year. At that, specific consumption of conventional fuel (SCCF) for electricity output decreased almost by 4% if compared to the same period of the year 2010. The increase in output and the decrease in fuel consumption were primarily connected with the commissioning of more effective power units at Yuzhnaya CHPP and Pervomayskaya CHPP in the second quarter of 2011.

The output of the Company’s hydroelectric power plants was 8% lower than the identical value of the last year due to decrease of water content in the regions of TGC-1’s presence. Hydroelectric power plants of JSC TGC-1 produced a total of 9,162 million kW/h from January till September. The installed electric capacity utilization ratio lost nine percentage points and equaled 48% according to the results of nine months. At that, the electric capacity utilization factor of the Company’s heat plants grew by 7 percentage points because of new capacities and equaled 46.6%. As a result, the total electric capacity utilization factor of TGC-1 for 9 months of the year 2011 remained unchanged if compared to the same period of the year 2010 and amounted 47%.

Total heat otput by power plants of TGC-1 according to the results of nine months of 2011 was 18,277 thousand Gcal which is 4.5% lower than the identical value in 2010. Relatively high average air temperature in the Company’s regions of operation in the first quarter became the reason of such decrease.
