Pavel livinskiy, Head of Rosseti, and Igor Rudenya, Tver Region governor, inspect progress in reconstruction of power grid facilities in the region

Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, visited the Tver Region to accept the reconstruction of the energy center and the replacement of the transformer substation which is located in the Kimry District and has no owner.

Nadezhda Smirnova, a resident of Kommunalnaya Street in Kimry, had earlier asked to put the power grid assets on the holding’s books for further servicing. The citizens were worried about the lack of proper control over the live facility in the immediate vicinity of private sector houses as well as about frequent blackouts.

This day last week Pavel Livinskiy immediately went to the Tver Region and, based on the results of substation inspection and communication with the residents of Kommunalnaya Street powered by this package transformer substation (PTS), he instructed to exclude the ownerless object from the city’s power supply circuit and to replace it with a new one.

Rosseti power workers promptly completed an extensive work package. The workers levelled the site for PTS reinstallation and dismounted the old worn-out cable and overhead lines as well as the PTS itself. Instead of the worn-out power equipment the energy men constructed a new PTS, laid 20 m of 10 kV cable line (CL), 70 m of cable 0.4 kV CL, installed a 10 kV disconnecting support, built 0.4 and 10 kV overhead lines of 360 m and 40 m in length respectively. The new PTS is installed on a special foundation block with sand and gravel padding being made. At the end of the work a special fence was also mounted around the PTS. In combination with the transfer of the substation to an optimum distance from consumers' homes the fence will provide maximum safety for the residents of Kommunalnaya Street. A full set of repair measures was completed by specialists from Rosseti Center Tverenergo within 4 days. The result was that 23 houses with about 100 consumers living there switched from the old networks to the new power equipment installed by the energy company’s employees.

Today, in the presence of Pavel Livinskiy, Head of Rosseti, and Igor Rudenya, Tver Region Governor, the old dismantled PTS was removed from the territory where consumers lived.

“Rosseti is actively working to consolidate the country's power grid assets,” said Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti. - As in the case of the residents of a small city we have seen the scale of the problem of ownerless facilities, on the one hand, and the importance of energy company’s working together with regional and municipal authorities to identify them, on the other hand. Only such an approach and the coordination of our efforts will ensure safe operation in proximity to power lines and substations as well as reliable and high-quality power supply and consumer comfort.”

“Just a week ago we met with the residents of Kimry. They requested to replace an ownerless and worn-out transformer substation. Today we see that this request has been fulfilled, a new, modern substation has been installed, and reliable power supply has been provided for 150 people, noted Igor Rudenya following the inspection. This is a small episode of our joint efforts on the consolidation of the region’s energy assets, which will significantly increase the reliability of power supply to enterprises, social facilities and residents of the Tver Region.”
