Problems of tariff regulation in the Region were discussed. After the negotiations the participants have signed the protocol, where all the agreements were fixed.

Meeting of the first Deputy of the Governor of Republic Karelia and IDGC North-West General Director Aleksandr Kuhmay, where the questions concerning the development of grid complex of republic Karelia were discussed, took place in Petrozavodsk.

The Deputy of the Governor of RK - Minister of Economic Development Valentin Luntzevitch, Deputy of the Governor of RK - Minister of Finances Igor Ycinin , Chairman of the State Price and Tariff Committee of RK Arthur Myaki, Chairman of the State Committee on energy industry and tariffs regulation Oleg Telnov  and IDGC North-West branch “ Karelenergo” Director Efim Ashkineizer also participated in the negotiations.

The participants have discussed plans about grid complex of RK development for the next year and decided to modify the invest program of IDGC North-West branch “ Karelenergo”  to take into consideration the new priorities of RK.
The Government of Republic Karelia elaborates the conception of social-economic development of the republic. This conception will include all prospective areas of activity.

- The result of this work will be clear-eyed understanding which electric grid objects need investments most of all. It will give us the possibility to increase the effectiveness of this investments for economy, underlined the participants of negotiations. 

Also the problems of tariff regulation in the region were discussed.
The tariff policy must be reasonable. The interests of the consumers and of the population of the republic must be taken into account. Yuri Kancher marked that the tariff in the Republic Karelia is one of the lowest in the North-West Region. So the blow-out of the prices for electric power  during the power industry  reformation is  inadmissible.
