Branch educational establishments being part of JSC Atomenergoprom are Moscow Institute of Advanced Training at Atomenergo non-state educational establishment (NSEE), and Institute of Further Professional Education Atomprof (St. Petersburg) NSEE. They will be reorganized and attached to Central Institute of Advanced Training (CIAT, Obninsk, Kaluga Region, also part of Atomenergoprom) as affiliates.
The decision was approved by the head office. According to the plan the reorganization is to be over by the end of this year.
The reorganization is being conducted in order to improve the level of education and to advance qualification of personnel in nuclear industry. A Center for Corporate Training for nuclear personnel is planned to be based on the enlarged educational establishment. It is also supposed that close cooperation should be set up between the reorganized educational establishment and National Research Nuclear University (NRNU) MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute).
A list of joint educational programs is planned to be issued as early as in September under the partnership between CIAT NSEE and MEPhI NRNU. NSEE CIAT is envisaged to enter ENEN (European Nuclear Education Network), which will provide for the possibility of international cooperation in training highly-qualified nuclear personnel, organizing education process, and improving the level of training and the quality of education as per international standards. Cooperation with ENEN in exchanging course materials and seminars is in plan alongside with organizing concurrent symposiums, practical training, and seminars.
Optimization of content and relevance of training programs will be one of the first restructuring measures. New technologies (such as project management, key performance indicators management) are currently being actively introduced. These technologies require new knowledge which the new CIAT programs are supposed to provide.
Furthermore in the course of the Center for Corporate Training development the stake is envisaged to be placed on introducing distance interactive education, and training efficiency assessment programs. This is expected to allow for a significant improvement in efficiency of the branch activity aimed at personnel and advanced training.
