September 22nd, 2010. Moscow, Russia. JSC RusHydro announces that the Company has signed memoranda of cooperation with Voith Hydro (Austria) and Alstom Hydro (France).

The document signed with Voith Hydro is focused on cooperation in the spheres  of reconstruction, modernization and rehabilitation of operating hydro-power plants. The document was signed by Evgeny Dod, Chairman of RusHydro's Management Board, and Dr. Leopold Heninger, the CEO & President of Voith Hydro.

The memorandum provides for the joint development of technical and commercial conditions for long-term contracts for equipment delivery to hydro-power plants. Special attention will be paid to technologies that are ecologically clean and protect aquatic life.  In addition, the document provides for negotiations on technical servicing for systems and equipment installed within the project of the complex modernization of RusHydro power plants.

Also within the framework of the XXI International World Energy Congress (WEC) in Montreal (Canada), RusHydro signed a memorandum with Alstom Hydro of France regarding possible cooperation in the fields of reconstruction, rehabilitation and modernization of existing hydro-power plants, as well as construction of pump-storage hydro-power plants. The document was signed by Evgeny Dod, Chairman of RusHydro's Management Board, and Dennis Cochet, Senior Vice President of Alstom Hydro. The memorandum provides for the development of terms for long-term contracts and for equipment supply and service provision on priority projects, as well as additional talks on maintenance services fortechnological equipment and services, to be installed within the framework of projects. Potential investment projects include complex modernization of the Cascade of Kubanskye HPPs and "turnkey" construction of the Zelenchuksjye Hydro-Power Plant-Pump Storage Hydro-Power Plant.
