In preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2018-2019 power supplies of the branch of IDGC of Volga PJSC (part of the ôRossetiö Group) - "Saratov Distribution Grids" conducted large-scale planned works.
At present, 8,021 km of overhead transmission lines (OL) from 0.4 to 110 kV, 895 transformer substations TS-6-10/0.4 kV, 158 substations of SS 35-110 kV, 191 power transformers of 6-110 kV have already been repaired.
Among the most significant objects for the power system repair work was carried out at SS 110/6 kV Most (provides electricity to agricultural consumers, residential settlements), 110 kV Yantarnaya SS (provides electricity to the consumers of the Arkadaksky and Turkovsky areas, including pumping station of ammonia pipeline and Russian Railways facilities, provides transit of electric power between the Balashovskaya-500 SS and Rtishevo-220 SS), Ozinskaya 110/10 kV SS (provides electricity to consumers in the Ozinsky area, including facilities of Russian Railways), etc. Substations overhauled 110 kV disconnectors, 10 kV circuit breakers and power transformers.
Replacement of insulators, alignment and installation of additional supports, repair of support foundations, replacement of wires, ground wire and coupling fittings were carried out on overhead power lines in all areas of the region. The most large-scale works were carried out on the 110 kV OL Saratovskaya TPP2 - Saratovskaya TPP1, I, II circuit, 110 kV OL Ershov 2, 110 kV OL TPP 4 - Balakovskaya 1 circuit, etc.
When preparing to work in difficult weather conditions during the autumn-winter period the power supplies pay special attention to clearing the power line from tree and shrub vegetation to avoid falling trees on the wires. At present, 840 hectares are cleared with the help of modern shredding equipment. Preparation for work in the autumn-winter period is one of the annual key tasks of energy companies.
The results of the intensive work of power suppliers will be summed up at the All-Russian Conference on Preparations by Electric Power Organizations for the Autumn/Winter Period 2018ľ2019 within the framework of the International Forum "Russian Energy Week". The forum will be held in Moscow in October 3-6 and will be a platform for discussion of the main issues facing the energy sector of the economy and topical issues of the industry development.
