Yety-Purovskoye gas field inaugurated

The Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, 140 km north-east of the town of Noyabrsk, hosted today the Yety-Purovskoye gas field inauguration.

“The Yety-Purovskoye field commissioning will make it possible to bring the Vyngayakhinskoye and Yety-Purovskoye fields to a 20 bcm/y of gas design capacity in 2006. Thus, Gazprom will substantially contribute into meeting the strategic challenge to build up gas production in Russia,” – maintained Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman.

Reference:

The Yety-Purovskoye gas field was discovered in 1971. The field gas-bearing area and proved gas reserves amount to 225 km? and 299.5 bcm, respectively.

The field is being developed by Noyabrskgazdobycha – one of the main gas production firms within the Gazprom Group.

At present, there are 37 wells being operated at the field and gas extraction accounts for 23 mln cu m/d.

2.4 bcm of gas is planned to be withdrawn from the field over 2004, with a 15 bcm nominal capacity to be reached in 2006.

The Yety-Purovskoye field infrastructure includes a 15 bcm/y gas treatment unit and 43-km-long gas gathering pipeline intended to channel gas to a gas treatment unit of the Vyngayakhinskoye gas field.

The Yety-Purovskoye and Vyngayakhinskoye fields are part of an integrated complex where one gas treatment unit is being used for gas production from both fields.

The Vyngayakhinskoye field was brought on stream in October 2003.
