Moscow. 19 November 2004. OAO "Tyvaenergo" and the authorities of the Republic of Tyva have reached an agreement under which the Republic's state-financed and budget-dependent organizations are to ensure full and timely payment their current electricity bills Additionally, the Republic's Government and the Kyzyl City Administration promised to repay, by the end of this year, RUB16 million of the debt owed to the energy company on the subsidies for the heat energy consumed by the population.

This agreement was reached at the joint meeting presided by the Representative Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the Siberian Federal Area Anatoly Kvashnin, who commissioned the Tyva Authorities to sort out the problem of energy payments.

RAO "UES of Russia" hails the constructive dialogue with the Tyva authorities and Kyzyl City Administration, regretting that it has not taken place before. RAO "UES of Russia" hopes that the agreements reached and the obligations undertaken by the Tyva authorities on energy payments will be fulfilled and make it possible to work during the heating period without energy supply crises.
