Moscow. 19 November 2004. The adjustment work at the second 800MW power-generating unit at Nizhnevartovskaya TPP (OAO "Tyumenenergo") has been completed, and the unit is now ready for to be commissioned into commercial operation.

After the trial operation, during which the unit generated over 2 billion kWh of electricity, the second generating unit was started at full capacity. During the startup, tests were made of the new control systems of the unit's primary and secondary equipment, and a trial of the new boiler start-up technology was effected. Today, the staff of OAO "Tyumenenergo" are preparing to conduct the scheduled heat loss testing and thermal testing of the boiler and turbine. The generating unit is scheduled to be commissioned into commercial operation in December 2004.
