Today Bashkiria has hosted a ceremonial implementation of Moskovo compressor station (CS) – 18A after reconstruction made.

The event was attended by Murtaza Rakhimov, President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Gazprom’s delegation led by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and representatives of Bashkortostan Government and Bashtransgaz.

“We have made one more step toward further improvement of gas supply reliability for Russian and European consumers. We have implemented upgraded CS reconstructed using the most advanced domestic technologies.

It is a prime example of the Company’s systematic work for upgrading and technical re-equipment of gas transportation facilities throughout the country.

In September 2006 Gazprom’s Management Committee approved the Integrated Program for Reconstruction & Technical Re-equipment of gas transportation units and CS of UGS facilities during 2007-2010. The Program was developed due to the end of the Integrated Program of Reconstruction and Technical re-equipment of gas transportation units, BCS and CS of UGS facilities during 2002-2006.

The main goals of the Integrated Program is to increase gas transportation system efficiency, maintenance of planned gas volume transportation and reliability of the Gas Transmission System as well as increase of industrial and ecological security of gas transportation units.

Bashtransgaz (100 per cent Gazprom subsidiary) uses seven CS including 16 shops and 121 gas pumping units. Durtulin Linear Production Gas Main Management (one of the largest subsidiaries of Bashtransgaz) exploits Moskovo CS-18A, more than 750 km of gas mains including gas pipelines such as the Chelyabinsk-Petrovsk pipeline, the Urengoy-Petrovsk pipeline and the Urengoy-Novopskov pipeline.

Within the reconstruction of Moskovo CS-18A 8 morally and physically outdated GTK10-4 GPU were changed to upgraded high technical GPU. Now four Ufa GPU-16R produced by the Ufa Engine-Building Production Association (UEPA) and one Ural GPU-16R-AL jointly produced by UEPA and Perm Engine Company. New GPU have high capacity, high efficiency level, increased exploitation resources as well as lower gas fuel flow rates.

Within Moskovo CS-18A reconstruction underground technological pipeline coating was made along with upgraded GPU installation. The works accomplished suggests higher reliability level of station activity.
