Moscow – 03 October, 2011 SITRONICS (LSE:SITR), a leading provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronics solutions in Russia and the CIS, takes part in the 6th All-Russian Science Festival which will be held from 7 to 9 October, 2011.

The Science Festival is an annual event hosted by M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University together with the Moscow City government and public and private sector companies. The main goal of the Science Festival is to stimulate interest in research and development among young people, to popularise fundamental scientific knowledge and to attract young experts to technical trades and specialities.

During the 6th Science Festival SITRONICS will present a social project called "Be an engineer". The project is intended to stimulate interest in engineering among the young generation and create understanding for the importance and attractiveness of engineering trades. Due to SITRONICS's modern means of communication, new technologies and expertise, the "Be an engineer" project is a large-scale event that appeals not only to the youth, but to people of all ages and professions.

"Development of all industries and life activities is closely connected with the development of advanced technology, which requires young talented scientists and researchers. Thus our company is very interested in experts who possess adequate knowledge and want to work in science intensive areas, such as information technology, telecommunications and microelectronics," said Irina Lanina, Vice President of Corporate Communications at SITRONICS. "The Science Festival plays an important role in building a constructive dialogue between science and the needs of society in terms of the country's economic development, and exhibits opportunities for growth for young scientists.

SITRONICS will present entertainment programmes, subject-related videos, logic games and puzzles in its own booth. The participants will be able to ask SITRONICS employees questions about possible employment and career opportunities.

As part of the festival, a lecture on modern Russian microelectronics will be delivered, where SITRONICS experts will relate key trends and prospects for the semiconductor industry, share their experience and show off innovative developments.
