Moscow. 15 November 2004. Today, the Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais has appointed Evgeniy Makarov General Director of OAO "Center and North Caucasus IDC" and Veniamin Pinkhasik General Director of OAO "North-West IDC".* The nomination of Evgeniy Makarov and Veniamin Pinkhasik has been unanimously supported by the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia".

Evgeniy Makarov was born in 1955 in the village of Lavy, Belgorod Region. He graduated from the Ivanovo Energy Institute in 1978. He has worked at the energy entities of OAO "Belgorodenergo". In 1985 to 1997, he worked as the Chief Engineer of the Northern Power Substations of OAO "Belgorodenergo". In 1997, Evgeniy Makarov was appointed the General Director of OAO "Belgorodenergo".

Veniamin Pinkhasik was born in 1946 in Leningrad. He graduated from Kalinin Polytechnic Institute, Leningrad, in 1975. In 1968, he started working at the energy entities of Lenenergo, and then Pskovenergo, where he has held managerial positions since 1980. In 1996, Veniamin Pinkhasik was appointed Deputy General Director, Energy Sales of OAO "Pskovenergo" He has been General Director of OAO "Pskovenergo" since 2000.

Anatoly Chubais has also appointed Vladimir Alferov General Director of OAO "TGC-14".* The nomination of Vladimir Alferov has been unanimously supported by the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia".

Vladimir Alferov was born in 1954 in the city of Chita. In 1977, he started working at the Chitinskaya CHPP-2. He graduated form the Chita State Technical University in 1999. At that time he already worked as the Director of a power plant. In 2001, Vladimir Alferov was appointed Director of Chitinskaya CHPP-1 and Chitinskaya CHPP-2 of OAO "Chitaenergo". He has been director of the Business Unit of the Chitinskaya Generatsiya Branch of OAO "Chitaenergo" since 2004.
