ROSSETI

August 11, 2014

ROSSETI creates new jobs and furthers socio-economic development in the Kaliningrad Oblast

In the first half of 2014, ROSSETI's subsidiary YantarEnergo has technologically connection a whole host of large industrial enterprises in the Kaliningrad Oblast to the power grid which will, in turn, be creating around 300 new jobs. These facilities have reported a total of 2,500 kW of power.

The facilities that YantarEnergo has connected to the grid include a plant for producing construction materials in the Poddubnaya Village, a transport and warehousing facility in the Isakovo Village within the Guryevsky district, a furniture factory on Yemelyanov Street in Kaliningrad, a factory producing cement materials in the Nivenskoye Village of the Bagration district, industrial facilities and warehouses in the cities of Svetlogorsk and Svetly as well as in the Guryevsk and the Gvardeisky districts.

YantarEnergo has constructed the necessary electricity network infrastructure for these new facilities according to applications submitted by their founders. Creating new and upgrading existing network facilities has improved the quality and reliability of the power supply for existing consumers while at the same time creating power reserves to technologically connection other facilities to the power grid in these regions. This has thus facilitated the long-term socio-economic development in these regions.

In just six short months this year, YantarEnergo has constructed and commissioned 1,536 technological connection facilities. This is 514 more than during the same period last time.
