OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim received 17 registration numbers for chemical substances imported to EU countries according to the new European chemical Regulation REACH (Regulation concerning Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals). The registration dossiers were submitted for all basic monomers and for a range of other exported substances.
According to REACH, all manufacturers and importers of chemicals must identify hazards and manage risks associated with manufacture and processing of chemicals supplied to the European market. The registration dossiers must be submitted to the European Chemical Agency for all substances, produced or imported in quantities of 1 ton per year and more. However, a complex product, such as polymer, is not registered, but all substances used for production of this polymer.
The received registration numbers make it possible for OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim to supply without restraints any rubbers and plastics, produced by the Company, to the European Union starting December 1, 2010.
