COMSTAR entered in All-Russia Book Of Honor

7 October 2008, Moscow, Tyumen. COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS OJSC, LSE: CMST), a major operator of integrated telecommunications services in Russia and the CIS, announces the entering of Tyumenneftegazsvyaz OJSC (TNGS), a COMSTAR-UTS OJSC’s subsidiary company in the Ural Federal District, in the Transport & Communications Section of the All-Russia Book of Honor.

The best institutions, enterprises and organizations, irrespective of their forms of ownership and business sector, which promote social and economic growth of the Russian Federation’s regions, improvement in effectiveness of the entire industry, growth in the budget and social efficiency, are entered in the All-Russia Book of Honor.  The Book of Honor is formed with direct involvement of the executive bodies of all levels. The publication is designed to distinguish and mark out the best enterprises in their regions working for the benefit of the country, for the creation of successful and prosperous Russia.

In September of 2008, the leading position in terms of growth indicators among the transport and communications enterprises was assigned to the Priobye Branch of Tyumenneftegazsvyaz OJSC. The TNGS Branch has been entered in the Book of Honor based on the suggestion of Administration of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra. Accordingly, the company’s business worthiness has been validated by the executive government of the region.

“This is a solid acknowledgement of the success of operation of our company,” said Vladimir Alayev, General Director, Tyumenneftegazsvyaz. “We are grateful to the Khanty-Mansi AD government for their seeing the true value of our Branch’s work. Our enterprise has been providing communications services in Nefteyugansk for 40 years now, and it has always been proud by the GoS it maintained. We are happy about TNGS meets all international standards set to the QoS of communications and the loyalty to its own customers. The Priobye Branch is the first one among the company’s territorial subdivisions to be entered in the All-Russia Book of Honor; however, the level of development of our branches is continuously growing, and this gives us ground to say that we shall see our further success!”
