Privileged consumers paying RUB 550 per connection prevail among the new applicants of Orenburg Production Department of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies). They account for 65% of the total number of applications. Agreements for technological connection were signed with 181 new customers. 190 new consumers were actually connected to power grids in Orenburg and suburbs.

Summer is the peak season for construction and reconstruction of power grid facilities required for actual connection of consumers to grids. The technological connection team of Orenburg Production Department constructed about 9 km of overhead and cable power transmission lines in total. It performed installation of a packaged transformer substation, installation of 4 cells in the switchgear, reconstruction of 2 substations with replacement of power transformers. ORENBURG POWER ENGINEERS PREPARE FOR OPERATIONS DURING THE AUTUMN AND WINTER PERIOD For five months of the repair campaign, Orenburg Production Department of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), completed about 70% of the scheduled activities. Orenburgenergo conducted capital and routine repair of 97 transformer substations and more than 15 kilometers of 0.4–10 kV power transmission lines.

Repairs of power grids were completed on the following streets of Orenburg: Lesozashchitnaya, Kazarmennaya, Sennaya, Parizhskoy Kommuny, Komsomolskaya, Kirova, 8th March, 60 Let Oktyabrya, Krasnoznamennaya, Altaiskaya, Plekhanova, and Parkovy prospect. Before the beginning of the autumn and winter period, Orenburg power engineers will repair grids on Kaliningradskaya, Labuzhskogo, Teplovoznaya, Lokomotivnaya, Trudovaya, Chebenkovskaya, Bratyev Bashilovykh, Proletarskaya, Rosa Luxemburg, and many other streets and lanes. Safe repair activities cannot be performed without short time power outages. In the districts with repair schemes, power outages last for several minutes at night. In this way, power engineers prepare equipment for the forthcoming day-time repairs. Such repairs cause practically no inconvenience for residents of the regional center. Police stations, heat network and water service enterprises, lifting facilities, housing and utilities management companies are notified of such scheduled night switching-overs on a mandatory basis.
