New charging stations for electromobiles appeared in the Samara district and Zhigulevsk. Additional charging stations were mounted by Samara Distribution Grids Branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti) as part of All-Russian program of development of charging stations for electromobiles of Rosseti, PJSC. The first charging stations were mounted in 2017 as part of pilot project.
New charging stations are continuation of the project implementation. They are domestically produced and are suitable for all types and brands of electric vehicles on the Russian and foreign markets. Charging speed depends on the battery capacity of the electric vehicle and the type of charging station through which charging takes place. The smaller the battery capacity is, the faster the electric vehicle will charge. On average, it will take up to 4 hours to fully charge an electric car. Charging stations use the Mode 3 with a high degree of protection, since charging takes place through a direct connection to the network through a specialized power socket and cable, which is included in the package of an electric vehicle. By the way, the charging from a household outlet refers to a low degree of protection, Mode 1.
It also has a high risk of overheating, therefore it is even banned in a number of countries. Access to the charging station is carried out using a special RFID card, which can be obtained for free at production offices of the Samara DG branch. It is enough to submit the driving license and documents for the electric vehicle. One can charge an electric car for free. New charging station are installed at the address: 1. Volzhskoye PO of the branch - 4 Blizhniaya Street, Samara 2. Zhigulevskoye PO - 17 Pushkina Street, Zhigulevsk.
