400,000 mobile lines allocated to Sverdlov region

By decision of the Federal Telecom Agency Uralsvyazinform has been assigned new line capacity for its GSM-900/1800 subscriber network in the Sverdlovskregion.

 

A total of 400,000 lines with the zone code DEF=902 were allocated to cellular phone users in the region.  The following three digits will be located in these ranges:

Uralsvyazinform has been building its GSM-900/1800 subscriber network in the Sverdlovskregion since spring 2004 using telecom equipment purchased from European supplier Siemens. The network is currently in the phase of pilot testing.

 

The resource assignment should be enough to last the company for roughly 18 months of operations.

 

Uralsvyazinform will make direct urban lines available to GSM users in the Sverdlovskregion who are connected under the Capital and Delux tariff plans.
