These companies supply semi-products and carosserie components for such companies as Peugeot Citroen, Renault, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Iveco, Audi, BMW, Daimler-Chrysler, Man, Opel, VW, GM, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saab, as well as for the consumer electronics manufacturing companies.

"In the international automotive construction practice, the agreements are normally concluded for the term of 1-3 years, and due to successful supplies of IF-steel rolled products to the European market in 2004, we made such an agreement for the first time. It involves volume- and price-fixing for the following period: January - June, 2005 ", - underlined Mr.V.Rahuba.

Taking into consideration that automotive industry is one of Severstal's strategic segments in internal and external market, the extension of sales within this segment of the market is an important direction of the company's activity.

One of the latest confirmations of successful development of this technology and the  promotion of IF-steel rolled products to the market is successful stamping of the galvanized steel rolled sheets at Volkswagen (Wolfsburg, Germany). Today the new galvanizing line of ZAO Severgal has not been commissioned yet at JSC Severstal, and zinc coating for the cold rolled full hard IF steel, produced at 5-stand continuous rolling mill in Cherepovets, was accomplished at EKO Stahl GmbH (Germany). Volkswagen had no complaints concerning the results of stamping. The stamped details are used for manufacturing the Faeton car model.
