Power engineers of Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group), reconstruct 10 kV overhead line No. 1 Kholstovka within the framework of implementation of 2015 investment program. In the course of reconstruction, 170 reinforced concrete supports were installed instead of outworn wooden ones, two line isolators and more than 26 kilometers of self-supported insulated wire characterized by high reliability, safety and long-term operation were mounted. Grounding devices will be also installed, 170 long-spark arrestors designed for protection of equipment against lightning overvoltage and direct strokes will be mounted, and overhead line routes will be cleared of trees and scrubs. Operations will be performed in the area with the overall length of 8.34 kilometers. After completion of operations and connection of consumers using the newly built line, power engineers will have to dismantle the old line having ensured power supply to residents of the Pavlovskiy district since 1967 using resources of a contractor. Reconstruction of 10 kV line will make it possible to improve reliability and failure-free power supply to consumers of the Pavlovskiy district, Ulyanovsk region, including social and household facilities. Moreover, successful implementation of the investment program is an integral part of preparation of the electric grids complex for smooth and continuous operation during 2015-2016 autumn-winter season.
