On September 25, 2008 the Kommersant daily published the TOP 1000 Russian Managers annual rating prepared by the Russian Managers Association.

According to the rating, Deputy General Manager – IT Director Andrey Georgiyevich Yakovkin ranked fifth among IT Directors in the Communications industry.

The General Manager of OJSC North-West Telecom, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Akulich ranked among the best ten top managers in the Communications industry. The Deputy General Manager – Commercial Director of OJSC North-West Telecom, Oleg Viktorovich Popov ranked among the ten best commercial directors (marketing directors) in the industry.

In total, about 3.5 thousand people were reviewed as candidates for the TOP 1000 Russian Managers this year. The candidates were evaluated and selected by about 420 experts.

It is not for the first time that experts include NWT managers in the TOP 1000 Russian Managers list. The rating evidences that the general public recognizes not only the large scale and significance of OJSC NWT, but also the high professional skills and reputation of its leading top managers.
