Monday, September 25 – The AO MOSENERGO Board of Directors has approved the report of A. Ya. Kopsov, General Director, «On the Results of Company Activities in the 1st Half of 2006».

Income from the sale of energy was 35.8 million rubles higher than the predicted level for the reporting period of 2006. Commercial sales (without VAT) amounted to 39.2 billion rubles, an increase of 0.1% over the planned figure. Net profit for the 1st half of 2006 amounted to 553 million rubles.

Electric power output from AO MOSENERGO stations amounted to 32.846,2 million kW/h – 2% up over the predicted level.

Major tasks of AO MOSENERGO’s investment activity in 2006 are as follows:

• Commissioning of 25 MW turbine No. 31 at HEPS-1,
• Commissioning of 31 MW gas turbine at GTU-TPP in Electrostal,
• Replacement of 110 MW turbine set No. 5 at TPP-21,
• Performance of the planned works on the construction of gas-vapor power units at TPP-21, TPP-26 and TPP-27.

The Board of Directors approved the project of the Programme of Cost Management for 2007-2008. The Programme will be focused on three main areas: commercial output increase, production costs reduction, and operational and non-core activities results optimization.

The Board of Directors approved the agreement to carry out «an investigation of the options for upgrading TPP-25 on the basis of gas-vapor units» with the OAO UES Engineering Center.
