Privolzhskoye Production Department (PD) of Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), embarked on a repair campaign at 110/6 kV Vostok substation and 110/6 kV Lesozavodskaya substation located in the city of Engels as provided by the 2017 Repair Program.
At 110 kV Vostok substation, PD's crews repaired 110 kV circuit breakers, 110 kV and 6 kV switches, first and second sections of 110 kV busbars, T-1 110/6 kV power transformer, and 110 kV current limiting and arc-suppression coils.
At 110 kV Lesozavodskaya substation, the power engineers repaired T-1 and T-2 110/6 kV power transformers and restored tightness of their oil system, upgraded and adjusted the automated cooling control system, and replaced old cooling motors with energy-efficient and noise-free solutions.
The substations supply power to residents, institutions and enterprises of the city via local grid companies.
 Timely repair contributes to smoother operation of equipment of the substations, more reliable power supplies, and longer service life of the power equipment.
 The 2017/2018 autumn and winter preparation campaign reached out to other branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, including Mordovenergo, Penzaenergo, Chuvashenergo, Orenburgenergo, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids and Samara Distribution Grids.
