Moscow, 13 September 2006. On 12 September 2006, the Federal Service for Financial Markets of Russia (FSFM) registered an additional issue of ordinary shares in OAO "Far Eastern Distribution Company" to be placed through closed subscription (private placement).

According to the resolution authorizing the share issue, OAO "Far Eastern Distribution Company" is to place 990,876,600,000 ordinary shares of RUB0.01 par value, worth a total of RUB9,908,766,000. The state registration number assigned to the share issue is 1-01-32531-F-001D.

The additional share issue was approved by the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" at the Board meeting held 26 May 2006, when the Board reviewed matters relating to the completion of restructuring of the energy systems in the Russian Far East. The additional shares in OAO "Far East Generation Company" are expected to be placed through closed subscription among the shareholders of OAO "Khabarovskenergo", OAO "Amurenergo", OAO "Yuzhnoe Yakutskenergo", and OAO "Dalenergo" in exchange for distribution grid assets of these companies.

The Federal Service for Financial Markets (FSFM) also registered the ordinary share issues and the share placement reports of OAO "OAO Yuzho-Kuzbasskaya TPP" and OAO "Kuban Generation Company", the companies spun off from OAO "Kuzbassenergo" and OAO "Kubanenergo", respectively. The shares were distributed among the regional energos' respective shareholders.

According to the share placement reports, OAO Yuzho-Kuzbasskaya TPP" placed 606,606,163,800,000 ordinary shares, RUB0.9 par value per share, for the total amount of RUB545,547,420. The state registration number assigned to the share issue is 1-01-55215-?. According to the share placement reports, OAO "Kuban Generation Company" placed 17,869, 440 ordinary shares, RUB60 par value per share, worth a total of RUB1,072,166,400. The state registration number assigned to the share issue is 1-01-55221-?.
