Saratov power industry specialists repaired 110 kV Kirovskaya — CHP-5 power transmission line

As part of implementation of the repair program, specialists of Saratov Distribution Grids (SDG), a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), repaired 110 kV Kirovskaya — CHP-5 power transmission line. SDG's repair crew replaced insulation, checked tightness of bolt contact connections, repaired foundations, and restored permanent safety signs.
The specialists focused much of their efforts on vegetation management on rights-of-way to remove trees and shrubs jeopardizing trouble-free operation of the power lines. The total area of cleared rights-of-way was 1 ha. The works were carried out using mulching machines.
110 kV Kirovskaya — CHP-5 power transmission line spreading over 10 kilometers runs from CHP-5 to 110 kV Kirovskaya substation and energizes 110 kV Tekhnicheskaya and Rakhovskaya substations. This group of feeding centers supplies power to consumers located in the central districts of Saratov. The routine repair of the power transmission line contributes to higher safety and reliability of power supplies.
The autumn and winter preparation campaign reached out to other branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, including Mordovenergo, Penzaenergo, Chuvashenergo, Orenburgenergo, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids and Samara Distribution Grids.
