At the main line of the Assembly Plant there was completed assembly of the first prototype of KAMAZ-63501 truck-tractor on 21 January 2004. Its major performance characteristics are fully complying with Euro-2 emission requirements.

KAMAZ-63501 has 4 driving axles of 8x8-wheel arrangement, and it is powered with a 320 h.p. engine. The new truck will be trimmed in the Finishing Department as it is has to be completed with parts and units and the truck’s chassis needs final running.

But the main reason of increased interest to this new prototype is a close visit of representatives of a Serbian customer. After introduction of the truck to them, it is planned to sign a contract on delivery of the first trial batch from 25 units of KAMAZ-63501 to Serbia.
