Northern Electric Networks, a branch of JSC “MOESK” summarized results of work in transport and performance of plans for electric energy losses reduction. Due to result of operation over 12 month 2010, total effective output equaled 10,093.7 million kWt-hour. Increase of this parameter in comparison with the same reporting period in 2009 equals 645.54 kWt-hour, or 6.83%. Special attention shall be paid to the fact that increase of effective output in percent advances total output in grids (6.83 compared with 6.27%). It shows actual reduction of electric energy losses.
Services on electric energy transport are one of major specialized activity of electric grids. It provides for a significant share in cash income. Due to the mentioned reason, the branch’s management gives much attention to technical events aimed at increase of effectiveness of the whole branch’s distributive grid infrastructure operation. A serious contribution in electric energy losses reduction is made by works on revelation of unaccounted and agreement-free electric energy consumption. Totally in 2010, 2,500 specialized raids have been carried out. At the result of raids, 2,300 statements for 26,529.09 thousand kWt-hour have been drawn out. In accordance with drawn statements, debtors have been provided with accounts for the whole amount of illegally consumed electric energy. At several cases, claim-related work is being carried out.
A positive tendency in both technological losses and losses due to variety of illegal consumption kinds is an important element of stable grid operation. It directly influences electric energy quality, balanced operation of equipment, and the branch’s economic performance.
